When Finances and Health Fail You

Desperate Times... Take Desperate Measures, and, A Whole Lot Of Good Ol' TLC! This Is My Story!

As you can see, I have listed my personal Antiques for sale on this site, as well as many other items. I want to do something, that will have the chance to make better, as many lives as possible, especially in this time of recession and thereafter. There is a saying that I highly believe in. " To whom much is Given, Much is Required! "

My Goals:

• To humble myself, and offer comfort and hope, to as many people as possible,not only because of my future demonstrated generosity, but also, because of the interest you will have in my life story as it unfolds through my hubs.
• To raise, as much as possible, for many charities that need, all of our help.
• To be proud of who I am, and help others feel the same about themselves.
• Most importantly, to have more quantity and quality time with my loved ones, and to some degree, help brighten the day, for each and everyone of you!

I will be adding to my hub regularly. I will be sharing my life's many struggles, in hopes that I can give hope and encouragement to others, as you become a fan, and continue to follow my goal's progress.

MY STORY

I have, just recently, lost my home and small business. It has been very sad, disappointing and embarrassing. It has been, also perhaps, the best thing, that could have ever happened to me, all at the same time.

Let me explain.....

I am forty one, and the mother of five children. Three biological, and 2 step-children. All, absolutely, wonderful kids. I use to own and operate a Special Care Home, and also a Landscape Company in New Brunswick, Canada. You will see future hubs on these subjects from myself as well in the near future.

During the years of operation, I worked non-stop. Many years, without time off or vacation. In the Special Care Home, because of the 24 hour care and medical requirements of my clients, I, most often, couldn't afford or even find workers to come in, and therefore, I missed out on so much with my family and children. I missed; most of the basketball games, and all of their talent shows. :(

My dedication to my businesses was excellent from a work perspective but I quickly found myself, in a heart- torn scenario... Do I stick it out and hope that our Special Care Home fills with clients, and thus, I could afford the workers and have time for the family? ....or............ After many years of struggle and exhaustion.............................................................................. Do I reluctantly,... throw in the towel,... and move on? I had to give careful consideration to my health as well, since I also had been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, IBS, COPD, and High blood Pressure. I am only in my 40's and life as I knew it, had to change dramatically. I will discuss these topics as well in the near future.
